Exploring Wildlife and Life Cycles

It’s been another busy week in the Infants this week. We’re so proud of the Reception children who have continued to settle into school life so well. We are continuing to work on the ‘Let’s Explore’ topic and this week we explored the school grounds, looking to see what else we might find on our field and we found lots and lots of minibeasts! We used magnifying glasses, identification sheets and bug viewers to investigate the different creatures we found under rocks and in the ground, in the grass and in the air too. Amongst other things we found a bee, a wasp, a worm, two butterflies, spiders, slugs and plenty of woodlice! In Class 4 we have been looking at life cycles in both topic and sci

We've now completed our first full week back at St. Giles and it has been absolutely fantastic to see everyone back at school. We've done A LOT of hand washing and sanitising, which seems to takes lots of time, but it's worth it just to see all the children back in their classrooms and to welcome some new faces, not just in Reception, but across the school too. We've some new topics to learn about. This is what we've been up to. Classes 1 & 2 Wow what a lovely week we have had!  Firstly, we would like to say a huge well done to all of the Infant children on a super first full week at school.  Also, we would like to make a special mention to our new Receptions who have settled in marvellous
