Harvest Celebrations

For many of our new children, visiting church for the Harvest Festival was their first experience of going to St Giles Church and there was much excitement about it! There was a buzz in the air as we walked down to church and on our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Fr Mark. Our Harvest Festival was called ‘A Harvest Rainbow’ and the Year 2 children read beautifully and clearly to tell us about the rainbow we were going to make using different coloured fruit. The Year 1 children brought baskets of different coloured fruit in the colours of the rainbow. We used strawberries and apples for red, oranges for orange, melon and bananas for yellow, grapes and pears for green, blueberries for blue,
