The Pyjama Party
At the end of the school day there was an absence of parents collecting their children. School had finished but the day wasn’t over for the children. The school day had come to a close but the fun wasn’t over just yet.
The children all changed in to their PJ’s and then entered the hall/chill out zone.
Friends snuggled in with their blankets and teddies.
At St Giles School we pride ourselves and how well we look after each other and the juniors made sure the younger children were happy and comfortable.
The children then had a hot dog, with all the trimmings if they wanted them, a drink and when they had finished that settled down with a cone of popcorn.
As the daylight faded the atmosphere changed and everyone was really relaxed. We did hear that a couple of children may have even dropped asleep. But that’s okay it was a Pyjama Party after all.
As the children left they were asked if they had enjoyed it and the answer came back a resounding YES!!!!!!
We decided that we will hold a Pyjama Party once every half term, if the children want it, and all the money raised will go to school for all the extra things we like to offer. Like science days, sports day etc where we get outside experts in.
