Christmas time is here!
It has been a very busy few weeks but we are very proud of what our School has achieved.
We have raised an amazing amount of money for school funds during the last week. This is broken down as follows:
Christmas Cheer Fund raiser - £267.11
Secret Santa - £96
Christmas Performance (Raffle & Tickets) £384.85
GRAND TOTAL £747.96
Mrs Forster said, “Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way and to all who came and supported our school. This money will benefit every child through curriculum enrichment days, which we cannot do without fund raising, and the subsidising of school trips.”
Another fabulous week at St Giles School. We have had one dress rehearsal, two public performances and family Christmas dinner and lots of tired children.
Check out some of the best bits.
The dress rehearsal was on Monday morning and the Infants and the Juniors did very well.
Tuesday saw two performances. One in the afternoon and the final one in the evening.
Then Wednesday it was the Christmas lunch which was a huge success on Wednesday and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
A reminder that the Christmas Party is on Monday and children can bring party clothes to change into for the afternoon. We would really appreciate donations of food. If your surname begins with the letters A-M please send savoury snacks (no sandwiches or nuts) and for surnames N-Z cakes and biscuits. Thank you very much.
We break up on Tuesday following the Christingle Service which takes place in St Giles Church. The school choir will be singing from 2.15pm and there will be refreshments available. The service begins at 2.45pm and children will be dismissed from the church at 3.15pm. If you cannot make the service please ensure you are at Church for 3.15pm to collect your child/children. There is NO AFTER SCHOOL CLUB.
And the final word is from Mrs Forster, Head Teacher.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to wish everyone
A Very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.”
