Happy faces entered the playground at the start of the new school year and it was great to all be back together after the holidays. It was also especially nice to welcome all of our new children. We have a new reception class and lots of new faces in Class 2, 3 & 4. A big welcome to all of our old and new pupils at St Giles.
At the beginning of the first day Breakfast Club was up and running. There is no need to book, just turn up between 8 - 8.30.
At the end of the first day the whole school came together in Collective Worship and caught up on where we’d been and what we had done over the holidays. The value for School this half term is “Humility” and generated a wonderful discussion throughout the school.
The Reception children have had a very busy first week and settled in so well. They have been building, watering, constructing, performing, creating, helping and learning.
Class 2 are working hard and Year 1 are enjoying their new classroom. They also had time to explore the new revamped outdoor area.
