Hola! Class 4 have really embraced the cultures of Mexico as part of this term's topic. On Monday the children cooked a range of Mexican dishes including refried beans, Chicken Chili, home-made Tortillas, Quorn Burritos and Guacamole.
Working as teams, the children each produced a different dish, which we then all tasted. We decided that whilst Mexican food might not look the most exciting, it certainly tasted delicious! Several children tasted food they were really unsure about and were surprised at how much they enjoyed it.
The photos below show the finished products before they were consumed.
On Monday afternoon the children began to learn the traditional Mexican Hat Dance. Much laughter was had as they tried to perfect the timing of the steps to the Mariachi music.
