Do you know what an algorithm is? Just ask any of the children in Class 2.
In Class 2, we have been learning about programming in our Computing sessions. We have found out that an algorithm is sequence of instructions for completing a task and this week, we followed instructions for how to draw a picture. We were all given the same instructions but our pictures were very different! It showed us that we need to give very clear instructions when we are programming. Next, we will be using this knowledge to program a Beebot, thinking carefully about the buttons we press to make it move to a given destination.
In Class 4 the children have been exploring life cycles and how they can be depicted through botanical style drawing. They have used watercolour pencils, which allow for different textures in the drawing and colour. Here is a small selection of their work.
