Behaviour at St Giles CE Primary School is based on mutual respect and that developing children's self-esteem is the foundation for this. When children feel confident about themselves they are more able to communicate effectively, more able to diffuse conflict and look to the positive in all situations. Children who view themselves in a positive light are more likely to see others positively.

All behaviour strategies at St Giles begin with rewards including, stickers, class awards, Dojo points, a phone call home to parents or a visit to head teacher. However, on the rare occasions children do not display the expected behaviour in school there are a number of sanctions the school will follow and these are outlined in the behaviour policy.
