The importance of children's physical, emotional, social and mental health

PSHE is vital in a child's education.

At St. Giles, we aim to provide high quality PSHE through explicit lessons, in every class, as well as via 'in the moment' teaching and discussions as needs arise.

Our personal, social and health education (PSHE) curriculum brings together citizenship with personal well-being, whilst supporting children's understanding of the fundamental British Value. Whilst PSHE is taught explicitly through discreet lessons, it also underpins all activities, collective worship, educational visits and extra-curricular clubs.

What do we teach?

All of our children also are taught relationship and sex education (RSE) as part of our planned PSHE curriculum. You can find out more about our RSE curriculum via the link below
