Collective Worship is a time when all of our children and staff come together, every day, as a community to share, reflect and build on our school’s Christian vision.
Collective Worship offers rich opportunities for spiritual development and helps to nurture a sense of awe, wonder, and curiosity. During Worship, we have moments to celebrate and worship, reflect on our personal beliefs and deepen our understanding of the beliefs of others. Children work collaboratively, responding thoughtfully to the themes and messages they encounter. We actively consider how we are ‘running the race that is before us and never giving up’.
We regularly invite parents and members of our local community to join us for Collective Worship. These gatherings may take place in the school hall, outside in nature or in our local church: St Giles.
Throughout the year, we welcome a variety of visitors to lead Collective Worship, including our Vicar Katrina, Open the Book and MAST. All staff and pupils play an active role in planning and delivering these meaningful experiences.
Our Collective Worship follows the Christian liturgical calendar and is rooted in the Christian faith, with each term focusing on a specific Christian value.
