  🌟 Meet the Teacher 🌟
  
  We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions on Tuesday 10th September 2024!
  
  This is a fantastic opportunity for you to step into your child’s world, visit their classroom, see where they sit, and meet the dedicated teacher who will be guiding them throughout the year.
  From 4 PM to 6 PM, the school doors will be open for parents and carers to explore, ask questions, and get a sneak peek into the exciting plans ahead. Each teacher will give a brief presentation to share key information about daily routines, special events, and what your child can look forward to in the coming months.
  
  Here are the presentation times for each class:
   

  • Class 2 (Year 1 & 2) – Miss Hall will present at 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
  • Class 3 (Year 3 & 4) – Rev Delafield will present at 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
  • Class 4 (Year 5 & 6) – Mr. Williams will present at 4:45 PM and 5:45 PM.
     

  We can’t wait to welcome you for this exciting evening of connection and discovery.
  
  Whether you have questions or simply want to see your child’s learning space, we’re here to make sure you feel part of their St Giles journey!

• Coming soon! Nursery provision for 3 to 4 year olds!

  Wonderful news St Giles Primary!

   

  The Department for Education have approved our nursery provision for children aged 3 to 4.

   

  This means that we will soon be providing teacher led nursery provision here at St. Giles!

   

  Keep your eyes peeled for further information coming this side of the summer break!

  

• Exciting trips ahead!

  The staff at St. Giles are delighted to share the range of exciting trips and experiences that we have planned for the next academic year 2024 -2025.

   

  These are in addition to the wealth of opportunities which we already offer including:

   

  • Teacher led Forest Schools (the children share that they have loved this!);
  • Sporting events (including the six, funded Key Stage 1 specific festivals which we have introduced this year – it has been lovely to see our younger children meet and be active together!);
  • Sporting clubs open to all (these run three times a week, all year).
  • Planned drama events (enabling each year group to contribute throughout the year);
  • Music partnership and music tuition (thank you to those who attended the performance yesterday);
  • Gardening Club;
  • Swimming and many more to ensure all the children achieve.

  Well done to all the children in Sharks who won the overall most points! Your hard work and team spirit truly paid off, making you the champions of our sports day. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement!

  2024 Sports day was absolutely amazing! The weather was on our side, providing the perfect backdrop for a day filled with excitement and energy. The children enthusiastically participated in various sporting activities, showcasing their skills and team spirit. It was a day of fun and memorable moments for everyone involved.
  
  A big thank you to the PTFA for providing ice lollies to cool the children down and refreshments for the adults 🤩
  
  Thank you to all the parents and carers who watched and cheered on the children 🌟

  It was lovely to meet all our new parents and carers who will be joining us at St Giles in September.
  
  We are excited to meet your little ones during the next three visits to school, as well as the home visit, to get to know their personalities, things they may find a little tricky, their favourite things and much more!
  
  We understand the importance of this transition and are committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment for their educational journey. Our team here at St Giles are dedicated to ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both you and your child as they embark on this new chapter. 🌟

  We are thrilled to announce that our school’s attendance rate has soared from below the national average to an impressive 95.9% (which puts our children in the top 20%!).
  
  This milestone is a testament to the unwavering dedication and collaborative efforts of our incredible parents, dedicated staff, and motivated pupils. 🤩

  🐣🐰 Easter at St Giles 🐰🐣
  
  We are inviting all children and parents/carers to work together to create either an Easter bonnet or decorate a hard boiled egg. You can be as creative as you like! Please make sure your child/ren bring their Easter Bonnets or their decorated eggs into school the morning of Thursday 28th March. 👒 🥚 🤩
  
  We would like to welcome all parents and carers into school on the morning of Thursday 28th March at 9:15am to watch the children on their Easter Parade around the playground (weather permitted!) ❄️ ☔️ ☀️ If the weather is against us we will be in the hall but more information about this will be sent closer to the time. 🤩
  
  You are also invited to our Easter Service which is in St Giles Church on Tuesday 26th March at 2.30pm led by our wonderful year 3 and 4 children. Our school choir will also be performing 🎵 🌟
